Internal — identity exploration
One name, four ways to say it.
Dopta — from the Czech doptat se, “to ask your way to an answer.” The wordmark has three jobs, and each direction below trades them differently. Mocked up for judgment, not attachment.
- Legible from 16 px
- One ink is enough
- Carries the question — or the redaction

Current directionThe letter is the material
The final direction. The wordmark is Gabarito — dopt + a fading trail of a's, ending in the “a” rendered live as liquid metal, the same shader language as the site itself. The trail is the brand idea (doptat se — keep asking); the last letter is the mark.
The redaction
The “o” is struck out
Closest to the product’s story: identity is struck out, the content stays. The strongest of the four in a single ink, and the bar already lives inside the product as the redaction motif. The risk: at first glance it can read as a hyphen — “d-pta.” It needs repetition, then it becomes a habit.
The ligature
The “d” does the asking
The cleverest drawing: the ascender of the “d” bends into a question mark, and its dot sits inside the bowl of the letter. An elegant signature at display sizes; at 16 px the ligature disappears. A candidate for report title pages and the wordmark’s display cut — not for the icon.
The period
Type only, nothing to draw
The quietest option. The period says: after the asking comes an answer — and leaves everything else to the typography. The easiest to implement and the most conservative; also the hardest to remember, because there is nothing in it to remember.
Recommendation
Final direction: none of the above — the metal “a”. The wordmark is Gabarito, dopt + a fading trail of a's, where the final “a” is rendered live as liquid metal, the same shader language as the site itself.
The repeating-a field returns as the page’s texture, run through fluted glass. The bubble, the bar and the ligature stay on this page as the record of the exploration.
